Well, I will be as frank as i can; body odour is in NO WAY attractive to anybody! It is a major problem and no matter how sensitive; we have to address it. Firstly, it is important to know that most people do not know that they have this problem, so please read through and help save a relationship.

What is body odour? It is an unpleasant smell, produced by bacteria on the skin that break down the acid in the sweat. Do you sweat? As an adult???? Oh yes please, you know how a lot of people live in denial and claim they don’t sweat? Sorry to burst your bubble, biko , you sweat once you reach puberty, your apocrine sweat glands develop, which produce the sweat that bacteria can quickly break down.

There are also foods and drugs that can cause us to sweat or have odors, spicy foods, caffeine and hormone medication increase sweat, which in turn can result to odor without proper hygiene. Not washing off sweat, would definitely cause a person to smell. Smelling can cause any relationship to suffer. Not everyone have the ability to stand odor, hence the need to find out if you are actually giving your partner trouble, without even knowing.

Loving someone entails making sure that, you do not cause that person any form of discomfort. Often times, people don’t know how to tell another person, that they perceive something offensive emanating from them. Please, figure this out yourself by simply doing a mental calculation of your hygiene, Babe, if you don’t shave your armpit, if you allow sweat dry up on your clothes and you’re still wearing them, if you wear your hair net for days-months-years, if you ignore taking your bath regularly etc, sister, don’t wait for network news to announce it, you will smell! Brother, if you go to work and come back refusing to take your bath, if you do your own beard gang under your armpit, if you wear one boxer for days-months-years, if madam complains about your hitting the bed without a shower, Brov, i put it to you that; You smell!

Keeping proper hygiene can not be over emphasized, especially when you have some one loving you. It is not fair, to subject anyone to bear body odour, we should maintain a healthy space for our partners.

  • Take baths,
  • Use deodorants or Antiperspirants (Roll-On) If you feel you don’t want the ingredients used to block sweats in some of these things, please use lime to clean your armpits, it deodorizes too.
  • Look at facial expressions when you get close to people, ask your spouse, frankly if you have odor
  • Seek medical assistance if everything fails, as some of these odours are medical conditions which happens when the body is not functioning as it should.
